Overview: The Telluride Cardboard Sled Derby is held by the One to One mentoring program in Telluride and is the most popular of their annual events. The Derby draws masses of local kids as they compete in three categories.
Where: The event takes place on the Tubing Hill at the Telluride Ski Area.

Cost: The Derby is open to all children ages 5-17 and registration is free
Details: There are trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Race Winners, Creativity, and Speed. All other sled racers will receive a consolation prize. But remember, only cardboard, string, paint, glue, tape, and paper are allowed to make the sleds. Also, all racers must wear a helmet, gloves, goggles and long pants and sleeves. After the Derby, there is a free BBQ for all participants.
